ABUJA, April 23, 2026 — The Police Service Commission (PSC), in partnership with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has announced that the written examination for Police Constable recruitment will hold from April 28 to 30, 2026, across designated centres in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The exercise covers both General Duty and Specialist applicants who successfully passed the earlier physical and credentials screening stage.

According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the PSC Head of Protocol and Public Affairs, Torty Njoku Kalu, qualified candidates are required to visit http://www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng from Friday, April 24, 2026, to print their Examination Invitation Card. The card will contain details of each candidate’s specific date, time, and venue for the test.

Candidates are expected to come with a pen, their National Identification Number (NIN) slip from NIMC with a clear photograph, and the printed Examination Invitation Card. The Commission also specified a dress code of white shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas for the examination.

The PSC reiterated that the entire recruitment process is free and warned applicants against job racketeering, scams, or financial inducements. It stated that anyone found engaging in such acts will face the full weight of the law.
