The church is pastored by Apostle Nyenime Andy and refusing to join the bandwagon of the Maintain the Peace Movement, the Governor’s succession campaign gimmick,is his only offence.
The young cleric has been vocal in condemning the ills of this government.
Demolishing the church would be the first major project the government would carry out since the commencement of the so called Maintain the Peace Movement and Akwa Ibomites are watching.
The Governor’s succession campaign gimmick is dead on arrival, because Akwa Ibomites are sick and tired of the cluelessness and colossal failure of the government and can’t wait for 2023 to replace it with a people’s oriented government and no amount of intimation, oppression and suppression by the powers that be can stop this resolve by the people of the state.
No sane person who has witnessed the backwardness caused the state by this government would queue behind whoever they would bring up as a succession plan.
Let me note,at this juncture, that many clerics in the country have been criticising the President Muhammadu Buhari led APC Federal Government and they have never been threatened, intimidated, oppressed or suppressed.
Apostle Nyenime Andy and the church members should not be shaken in their faith.They should not be intimidated by the cowardly antics of the failed government.
This may be how God wants to expose and disgrace the hypocrites who have been using His name sacrilegiously to scam Akwa Ibomites
Whom the gods wants to destroy, they first make him mad
In the days ahead, we expect more oppressive acts by the government against voices of dissent in the state
