
In a bid to keep used plastic bottles out of the environment for climate sustainability, the Management of Ajason Plastic and Water Company Ltd and the Association of Table Water Producers of Nigeria, Abuja Chapter (ATWAP) have recently signed an agreement with Net Impact Lokoja Professional Chapter in Abuja.

A statement according to the Chairman of Ajason Plastic and Water Company Ltd who is also the Chairman of the Association of Table Water Producers of Nigeria Abuja chapter, Mr Muhammed Akwu Okpanachi revealed that his company and the association have agreed to serve as off-takers of whatever quantity of used plastic bottles picked by the Team of Net Impact Lokoja Professional Chapter, adding that, the act will help to reduce the circulation and leakage of plastic waste from the environment.
He further noted that his company and the Association have agreed to adopt the use of used plastic bottles for cost reduction and profit maximisation, stressing that the company and the Association have the capacity for plastic Sanitation and labelling.
In his word “we are set to do the extra-ordinary in both our company and our Association with little cost, we will get the used plastic from the Lokoja Professional Chapter of Net Impact and that will reduce the cost of production and it will also serve as adopting plastic recycling as part of our company’s social responsibility” he said.
Responding to the development, the President of the Lokoja Professional Chapter of Net Impact, Mr Abah Benjamin Eneojoh appreciated the management of Ajason Plastic and Water Company Ltd and the Association of Table water producers of Nigeria Abuja chapter (ATWAP) for accepting their proposal on the reuse of plastic bottles by their companies and he promised to keep to the terms of the agreement.
