Agreed, the Petroleum Industry Act is not a perfect reflection of the thoughts and expectations of the people of the Niger Delta region and of course, no human arrangement can ever be perfect, President Muhammadu Buhari should be appreciated by Niger Deltans for doing what past administrations, including a Niger Deltan, could not do.
Like I said in my previous statement on the issue, we should accept what we are being given now, while agitating and pushing for its upward review .
It is only hoped that the host community funds would be utilised well to enhance growth and development of affected communities.It is hoped it would not be turned to cash cow for privileged political actors.
