PDP Chieftain calls for for Justice to prevail on Kogi PDP Chairmanship issue, insisting that Hon. Gambo remains duly elected.

The Judiciary has once again been asked to serve as the hope of the common man in the ongoing PDP Chairmanship crisis by laying to rest whether Enemona Anyebe who was barred from the contesting the last August 31st Congress of the Party should still be parading himself as Chairman.

Abu Salman Mohammed, PDP Leader from Bassa LGA, made the disclosure in an interview with Newsmen in Lokoja, said for PDP leaders from the Eastern Senatorial District to have taken Enemona Anyebe to court that he was not eligible to contest, speaks volumes.

The PDP leader said it was people from Olamaboro LGA, the Ward where Enemona hails from challenge his eligibility for anti party reason, pointing out that he was not there member and was not eligible to contest.

He further pointed out if going by the fact that the people from where Enemona come from could identify that he was not there member, found him wanting for anti party,  a fact that is already in public domain, called on the Judiciary to do the needful.

Abu Salman Mohammed said as at the time the PDP Congress held on the 31st August, 2024, Enemona Anyebe was not a member of the party, said not minding the number of vote he scored in the Congress, amount to a waste, null and void.

He described the action of Enemona as contempt, called on Nigerian’s and particularly the Judiciary to dispassionately look at the Kogi PDP issue as he is not expected to parade or call himself as such.

He called on the Kogi PDP and the Party at National level, Members of the NWC to beam their touch light on the issue that is court, pointing out that injustice to one will amount to injustice to all members of the PDP in the State who are calling for justice.

He called for Justice to prevail on the Kogi PDP Chairmanship issue, called on the leadership at all levels to look at the Kogi lingering Chairmanship issue and resolve same in a manner that will allow that Justice prevails.

He said his argument is predicated on the fact that as at the time the PDP Congress held, Enemona Anyebe was not a member of the PDP, was barred by an order of the court not from contesting.

He added that his action to braze the odds by contesting was equally found wanting as a Lokoja High Court on February 18, 2025, declared the participation of Enemona as null and void, ordered for his arrest.

He concluded by urging the court and the PDP to declare the person who scored the highest votes in the State Congress, Hon. Muhammad Sanni Gambo, duly elected. He urged that he should be given his mandate and sworn in as the Chairman of the State PDP.

The PDP leader explained that Hon. Gambo, rightful winner of the congress has all it takes to reposition the Party for victory in the coming 2027 general election.

He disclosed that it is regrettable that almost a year after the PDP State Congress, wondered why the delay, called for Justice
