
PAAU Vice-Chancellor Reaffirms Commitment to Excellence, Begin Visit to Faculties.

The Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, has embarked on a familiarisation tour of academic units, reaffirming his administration’s commitment to academic excellence, infrastructure development, and staff welfare.
The tour, which began on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, covered the College of Health Sciences, Faculty of Management Sciences, and Faculty of Education. Professor Usman engaged with staff and students, assessing operational realities, identifying challenges, and charting a collective path toward sustainable institutional growth.
At the College of Health Sciences, he commended progress and assured staff of his administration’s commitment to consolidating existing gains. He emphasized unity, collective responsibility, and focused collaboration in addressing challenges.
The Vice-Chancellor also visited the Faculty of Management Sciences, assuring staff of efforts to address infrastructure deficits and deepen academic reforms. He stressed the importance of mentorship and encouraged staff to sustain productivity.
At the Faculty of Education, Professor Usman commended achievements and assured staff that issues would receive attention. He emphasized education’s central role in national development and urged staff to sustain mentorship, professionalism, and ethical standards.
The tour aims to enhance operational efficiency, promote academic excellence, and foster global competitiveness. Professor Usman has announced plans to reorganize key institutional directorates and prioritize timely release of academic results.
He paid tribute to former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and incumbent Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for their support toward the university’s growth and staff welfare.
