Kogi State Government says all necessary medical facilities are being put in place for the full take off of the School of Medical Science of the Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba.
Governor Yahaya Bello stated this after a thorough inspection of facilities already installed at the University Teaching Hospital in Anyigba.
Governor Bello said when completed the University School Medicine will kick off and put and end to referral of students to other Universities to complete thier course of Study.
He said the State Government will provide all that would needed in terms of medical staff as well as supporting personnel and thier welfare to enable them work effectively towards imparting sound knowledge on the students.
The Governor while commending the Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Professor Marietu Tenuche and the Chief Medical Director of the Teaching Hospital for their efforts said the success achieved so far was borne out of the determination of his administration to make a difference in the health needs of the people of Kogi State.
He charged the students and people of Dekina Local to sustain the existing peace in the area and report suspicious persons to security agencies.
Other projects inspected are the remodelled Ajiolo Community Secondary School, Ajiolo-Ojaji and Ogane Aji gully erosion control site.
