PAAU Marks 7th Combined Convocation Ceremony, Unveils Remarkable Achievements in 25 years.

 

Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Kogi State, has announced its 7th Combined Convocation Ceremonies, scheduled to hold from January 21 to 24, 2026.

Delivering a press briefing, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Marietu Ohunene ‘Tenuche highlighted the university’s significant progress since 2020, citing improved security, academic discipline, and infrastructure development.

According to the Vice Chancellor, 26,160 graduands are to receive First Degrees across five academic sessions

She pointed out that Introduction of 12 new academic programmes, including Applied Geophysics, Cyber Security, and Data Science.

She listed uninterrupted academic calendar, with no strike actions or delayed results as part of the University’s achievements.

She mentioned a $205,000 ARISE grant won by Dr. Emmanuel Amulabu for Central Laboratory upgrade, Strategic partnerships with Saint Petersburg Mining University, Russia also as remarkable impact made the 25 year old University.

Prof. ‘Tenuche attributed the university’s success to clear vision, institutional discipline, and unwavering political support from the state government.

The convocation ceremonies she said will feature notable events, including a book presentation, 25th Anniversary Lecture, and Commissioning of projects.
