The Kogi State Association of Women Engineers have presented an Award of Excellence to the Project Coordinator, Kogi NEWMAP, Barr Ladi Ahmed Jatto for her outstanding performances in Engineering work in the State.
Before the presentation of the award, the Chairperson of the Association, Engr. (Mrs) Victoria Oguche took time to brief the PC on what the body represents. She said it’s an Association, and a division of Nigerian Society of Engineers. She went further to say that APWEN is an umbrella body for all female Engineers in Nigeria.
She added that the body was established to encourage the study of Engineering by the female folk; that it also serves as a platform for female Engineers to collaborate with one another.
She thanked the PC for an outstanding performance, having gone round to see some of the jobs done under her supervision; acknowledging the PC for her support whenever a request is put before her.
The association further requested that the PC becomes one of their Patrons.
*PRESENTATION*
The Chairperson of APWEN thereafter presented to the Project Coordinator an Award of Excellence in Recognition of Her Outstanding Contribution in Engineering field.
In her response, the PC expressed deep appreciation to the team for the accolades, award, and recognition. She equally expressed joy that women are venturing into a field hitherto seen as a Male dominated profession; she promised her support always.
She thereafter dedicated the Award and Accolades to His Excellency, the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, who made the successes recorded so far possible.
In concluding, she reiterated that she is very proud to call him her boss.
