Outgoing KogiPoly Rector, Prof. Ogbo Bows Out with Pride, Solicits Prayers To Excel In PAAU.
The outgoing Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic Lokoja, Prof. Usman Salisu Ogbo says he is leaving the institution with his head and shoulders high.
Prof. Ogbo made the disclosure at the 5th Combined Convocation Gala Night held at K-Galazy event centre, expressed happiness that upon his assumption as Rector, said many people never gave him the opportunity to excel.
The Rector however said with his one term performance, expressed satisfaction that he broke records, new frontier”, said he could not have made those impact without the support of former Governor Yahaya Bello and Gov. Ahmed Usman Ahmed Ododo.
” Let me use this medium in thanking God and former Gov. Bello who found me and gave me this privilege opportunity. He remains a leader I will eternally be grateful to”.
Prof. Ogbo thanked the management and staff of the Polytechnic for their cooperation, acknowledging that their support was crucial to his success. He’s particularly proud of the institution’s achievements, including improved workers’ welfare, construction of infrastructure, and enhanced academic standards.
” Upon my assumption of office. People never gave me a chance. I was called all sought of names. But I was focused, particularly with the political will I enjoy. Today, the story is different. Our names have been written in Gold for posterity”.
” My thanks to former Gov. Yahaya Bello for the appointment. I remain deeply grateful for him finding me worthy to serve. Today, we have placed the name of the Polytechnic on the map of excellence”.
” I must also thank Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo for considering me for reappointment after my first tenure and for giving me another challenging task as Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba.
The outgoing Rector thanked the management and staff of the Polytechnic for their cooperation, said without there support, little could have been achieved.
” With my new appointment, I’m returning to a familiar terrain. I need your prayers against see finish. There is nothing as challenging as returning from an institution I started my academic carrier”.
Prof. Ogbo solicited the same support he enjoyed for the incoming Rector, pointing out that he is happy with his successor, expressed confidence that he has all it takes to sustain his legacies.
