2- Day Zonal Meeting on the Draft Medium -Term National Development plan ( MTNDP) 2021-2025 holden in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital have asked to use the meeting in proffering solutions that would help reduce the high incidence of out of school children in the North.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones made the appeal while delivering a goodwill message at the 2 Day Zonal Meeting on the Draft Medium -Term National Development plan ( MTNDP) 2021-2025 holden in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital
Hon. Jones said if the rate of out Schools Children can be curtailed, it would help check the Insecurity that is currently bedeviling part of the country, urged the Participants from the North Central Geo Political Zone to devout more time in proffering solutions to mitigating the high rate of out of school Children.
The Commissioner lamented that out of the seventeen state’s in the country with the highest number of out of school Children, fourteen of the States are in the North, expressed optimism that if the issues of out of school Children is addressed, it would to a large extend signal bye bye to Insecurity in some part of the country.
