He was a former Aviation Correspondent with the Nigeria Herald newspaper for 4 years.
A former Public Relations Officer with the Nigerian Ports Authority ,NPA,for 20 years before his voluntary retirement in 2007.
He worked briefly with M- gold Communication Ltd,a Frontline Advertising company based in Lagos where he was the Manager Clients Services.
He was offered a political appointment as Media aide to the wife of the former Deputy Governor of Kogi state,Mrs Grace Salawu.for 6 years.
He later took appointment with the Kogi State civil service and was redeployed from the Ministry of Information and culture to the Graphic newspaper, where he was named as a Political and Crime Correspondent of the newspaper.
He stepped aside in 2015 on personal ground.
He immediately started his highly successful independent Media consultancy services till date.
He is a trained journalist from the Times Journalism Institute,Lagos, a training center of the Daily Times newspaper, Lagos.
He attended St.Peters Anglican primary school,Ikuehi, Ihima,Okehi LGA,where he was always top of the class and St.Augustine”’s College,Kabba,Kogi state, where he emerged as the best overall student of the 1982 set.
He attended a course in Media management organized by the institute for democracy in Africa, University of St.Thomas Miami, Florida ,USA.
He had also attended several workshops , seminar and conferences.
He had visited no fewer than 7 countries in Europe and Africa as a member of federal government delegations of PMWACA and other official media related assignment and courses.
Such countries include United Kingdom, USA,Togo, Senegal,Ghana, Cameroon, Congo Brazzaville and Republic of Benin
While in NPA, he had the rare opportunity to attend international trade fairs in Lagos ,Kano,Kaduna and Enugu.
He had travelled to no fewer than 25 states in Nigeria on official assignments and private visits.
He had written thousands of Articles , news commentaries and other stories in the last 39 years.
He is working on his autobiography titled My oddessy in Journalism,a compendium due for public presentation before the end of 2024 by the special grace of God.
He is also a successful business man with the Baki- Nene group of companies that is into fishing, printing and salon services.
Watch out for his autobiography that promises to be a collector,s item for Journalism and Mass Communication students in tertiary institutions in the country.
He is getting ready to commence his degree program in Mass communication at the National Open University of Nigeria to fulfill his long standing dream to obtain a first degree which was denied by poverty in 1982.
His ultimate goal is to obtain a PhD in Mass communication now that money is no longer a barrier and huge challenge.
He is happily married to Mrs Sherifat Ozigi and blessed with highly intelligent and gifted children who are contributing their quota to nation building in critical sectors of the economy..
