Shocked and appalled with the vexatious calculated and intentional breaches of court orders by the Chinese firm known as the Jiangsu Communication Clean Energy Technology Co. Ltd (CCETC), CCETC HK Corporation Ltd and Mr. Di Xihaou, the management of Ossiomo Power Company, has gone to a federal court in Abuja to file a contempt court proceedings against the aforementioned.

Ossiomo Power Company is an electricity company based in Ologbo, Ikpoba-Okha local government area of Edo State.

Investigation revealed that Ossiomo Power Company filed the form 48 against the respondents through its legal representatives led by G. Elias & Co.

It was learnt that the contempt of court case was earlier filed in May 2026, but faced with the challenge of service on one of the respondents in China, Ossiomo Power Company again approached the court in September 2026 with a motion to do a substituted service in Nigeria.

Therefore, on September 24, 2026, Ossiomo Power and Infrastructure Company filed proceedings for contempt of court against Jiangsu Communication Clean Energy Technology Co. Ltd “CCETC” and Mr. Di Xihaou, who has been acting as the main representative of CCETC in Nigeria

Investigation further revealed that in October 2025, Jiangsu Communication Clean Energy Technology Co. Ltd (CCETC), had initiated proceedings at the Federal High Court, Abuja, but unfortunately for them, the motion exparte requesting a restriction on Ossiomo Power and CCETC Ossiomo Power Company’s accounts was rejected by the judge.

Instead, the Judge granted an interim order instructing both parties (CCETC and Ossiomo Power) to maintain the status quo.

But the management of Ossiomo Power Company and Infrastructure Company alleged that the accused have individually and collectively engaged in a number of court breaches, and thereafter in May 2026, filed a contempt of court proceedings.

The complainants alleged that in February 2026, there was a video circulating in the social media whereby CCETC unlawfully invited some community members including Mr. Emmanuel Iyase and Mr. Eric Osawaru to IPP1 and paraded themselves as the owners of the project.

Also, in July 2026, CCETC allegedly took a large number of electric poles which they forcefully connected to the 33kv line, which is wholly-owned by Ossiomo.

For these reasons and more, Ossiomo Power Company instituted a contempt of court proceedings against CCETC and its directors and staff at the Federal High Court, Abuja.

The date for the hearing on the matter is yet to be fixed by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
