OSARA COMMUNITY LAUDS GOV. BELLO’S EFFORT AS KGCSDA FLAGS-OFF CONSTRUCTION OF EXAMINATION HALL AT C.S.S.


 

As part of efforts to improve on the infrastructural facilities in some selected schools across the state, Kogi State Government, through, the state Agency for social Development has approved the construction of a well furnished Examination Hall at the community secondary school, Osara in Adavi LGA.

 

While presenting the of approval for the commencement of work on the project to Osara Community project management committee at a brief ceremony held at the school’s premises during the week, the General manager of kogi state social Development Agency, chief Dauda Momoh, expressed happiness that the Agency’s promise of intervention has been come to fruition.

The General manager, Chief Dauda Momoh, while emphasizing the commitment of the present administration to the development of education in the state, disclosed the total cost of the project which will be reticulated with water to be N14,909,000:36k.

He however explained that the Community contribution from the total cost for the project 2.5 percent, adding that the Kogi State Government through the agency will bear the total cost.

The General manager then seized the opportunity to caution members of the community management committee against misappropriation of the money for the projects, warning that such act will not be tolerated.

While presenting a cheaque of N 3,861,000:00 to the chairman of the community project management committee, being the take off money, the General manager who noted other dilapidating structures in the school, urged the committee to hasten the Job to enable the Agency consider the school for more intervention projects.

Responding on behalf of Osara Community, the secretary of the community project management committee, Mr James Araga, thanked governor Yahaya Bello’s administration and the state Agency for social Development for the projects.

In his short address, the principal of the school, Mr Usman Onotu thanked kogi State government and the Agency for the projects and appealed to government for more assistance to the school in the area of infrastructure.
