… empathizes with Engr. Bashir Gegu and family

The Director General Government House Administration, Lokoja, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu has added his voice to those consoling the family of Alh. Abubakar Umar Gegu, the biological father of Kogi State Honourable Commissioner for Solid Minerals, Alh. Bashir Gegu. The well respected community leader died on Thursday 15th February, 2024.
Alh. Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu journeyed to Nyiwo, Gegu-Beki Area of Kogi/Koton-Karfe Local Government Area to pay the all important condolence visit to the grieving Commissioner for Solid Minerals and to the entire household of the late Alh. Abubakar Umar Gegu, a man widely adjudged as a great community leader whose words of wisdom in handling issues has helped the community in no small measure.
In his words, Alh. Dr. Umar Oricha Shuaibu said, “I am here on behalf of myself and the entire Government House Community to console you on the loss of your father, Alh. Abubakar Umar Gegu. I will want you to know that Almighty Allah has so ordained it that death will one day visit every man and woman existing in flesh and blood and there will be no discharge from such once it is time. I want you all as a family that our great father, Alh. Abubakar Umar Gegu has left behind to take solace in the words of Almighty Allah as the Supreme Being that giveth and also taketh whenever He so desires.”
Speaking further, Alh. Dr. Umaru Oricha Shuaibu said, “I give thanks to Almighty Allah for the life well lived by our father as my coming here has made me to hear good testimonies about him. I have heard and seen how people are grieving his demise because he was a pillar of support to the community he served as one the leaders. Indeed, a great iroko tree has fallen in Gegu but our consolation revolves around the proverb that says, “the termite that digs the shrub also knows what it will use in filling it up.” It is my profound prayers that Almighty Allah will console you all over the irreparable loss of our father and same time find a perfect way of replacing all the good thing that he represented for his family and the entire community. Amen.” He said.
