The Onu Abocho and Paramount ruler of Biraidu in Dekina Local Government Area, Chief Jonah Okai Idrisu has commended Pastor Gbili Akani Ministry for embarking on free medical treatment in the area.
Chief Jonah gave the commendation during a visit to the free medical outreach at the Cottage Hospital, Abocho.
The Paramount ruler noted that the choice of Abocho for the exercise was commendable, noting that it would go along way at ameliorating the health challenges facing the people.
He particularly praised Pastor Gbili Akani of the Peace House, Gboko for his initiative which further testifies of the ministry’s love for humanity.
The Onu Abocho expressed satisfaction with the programme and promised total support to ensure the realization of set objectives.
The Onu Igbologwu Emewe, Ajofe Matthew Daikwo who accompanied the Paramount ruler on the inspection, maintained that the free medical treatment was worth while considering the rural nature of Biraidu District.
Ajofe Daikwo called on other bodies and well to do individuals to emulate the good example of Pastor Akani and his ministry to make life more meaningful for the less privelleged.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Pastor Peter Femi and Pastor David Alfa said the gesture was part of the ministry’s modest contribution to the growth of humanity.
The National Chairman of Biraidu District Development Association, BDDA, Alhaji SHEIDU Momoh-Sani, the Secretary, Biraidu Gagos Forum, Mr Muhammed Onalo Oju, other community leaders and stakeholders witnessed the event which is expected to last for alteast one week.
The free medical programme was facilitated by Reverend Sunday Achem, former CAN Chairman in Dekina Local Government and present Chairman, Biraidu Pastors Forum as well as Evangelist Joseph Labija of Shallom Centre, Abocho and Pastor Augustine Ikani, CAN Chairman in Biraidu District.
