One Year Coronation Anniversary: Engr. Bashiru Gegu Congratulates Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Says Your Reign Has Been Eventful, Rewarding.

 

The Kogi State Commissioner For Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Bashiru Gegu, has congratulated the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Alhaji Dr. Saidu Akawu Salihu on his eventful and rewarding one year coronation anniversary.

The Commissioner described the Ohimegye as a vibrant, visionary and progressive monarch who has been at the forefront of the quest for a society where justice, equity and fairness reign supreme.

The Commissioner in his congratulatory message said the Traditional Ruler has made a very significant impact on the development of Igu Kingdom in particular and Kogi State in general since his ascension to the exalted throne.

Engr Bashiru praised the monarch for using the Royal stool to promote peace among the various ethnic nationalities in the Kingdom as well as working with relevant stakeholders and institutions to advance the socio- economic development of the people.

He said, “I commend Ohimegye for his interest in the Unity of Igu Kingdom, a development that has brought peace and tranquility to Igu Kingdom.

“I pray God grant the monarch long life, good health, peaceful and purposeful reign to continue to contribute meaningfully to National development, unity and harmony in Kogi State and the Country in general.

“ I congratulate our amiable royal father and pray that peace, progress and prosperity continue to be the hallmark of his reign.”

“Thank You for maintaining the sanctity of the throne of your forefathers and for adding value to the rich cultural heritage of the people of Igu Kingdom”.
