The Kogi State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has felicitated with The Rector Kogi State Polytechnic, Dr Salisu Usman Ogbo on the conferment of chieftaincy title of Omaojo Ata Igala on him by His Royal Majesty, The Ata Igala,
Mathew Alhaji Opaluwa.
A statement by the chairman, Adeiza Momohjimoh and Secretary Ademu Seidu described the chieftaincy title as another well deserved feather in the cap of the workaholic Rector.
The statement said Dr Ogbo has since assumption of office as the Rector of the institution, demonstrated strong Will and unwavering determination to reposition the institution
“The success story of Kogi State Polytechnic today has put the institution far and above its contemporary in the country”.
“Kogi State Polytechnic under the current rector has witnessed transformation in infrastructure and academic standard.
The union, while rejoicing with Dr Ogbo on the feat achieved so far in transforming the institution, expressed its confidence in the ability of Dr. Ogbo to achieve more for the institution in the years ahead.
The union also congratulated His Royal majesty, the Ata Igala on his first year anniversary on the throne and appreciated him for finding Dr Ogbo worthy of the prestigious title of Omaojo Ata Igala
