Like a thunderbolt, the Peoples Democratic Party in Omala LGA of Kogi State has been dealt a massive blow as over one thousand of its members joined the ruling APC.
In a defection ceremony held in Lokoja, the APC received the defectors amidst funfair, assured them of a level playing field.
The PDP members hinged there defection on the good works of Gov. Yahaya Bello, praised the APC, Council Chairman of Omala LGA, Hon. Ibrahim Aboh for making the APC enticing in the area.
Speaking at the defection, the APC Chairman, Omala LGA, urged the members to put behind the past failures of where they where coming from, described the APC as the platform they need for growth and development.
Speaking, Hon. Ibrahim Aboh, Council Chairman of Omala, described the APC under the leadership of Gov. Bello as one that has created the enabling environment for the peace, growth and development of the State, urged the APC members to overwhelmingly work for the APC in winning the forthcoming February General Election from top to bottom.
