Olu of Apata-Oworo Appeals for More Community Development, Lauds UNIJOS ALUMNI.


 

The paramount ruler of Apata -Oworo in Lokoja Local Government Area, HRH (Oba) Federick D. Balogun has called on government at all level to come to the aid of his community in its quest for rapid socio-conomic development of the people and area.

 


The Oba made this appeal in his address as Chairman of the Unijos Alumni- Kogi state’s 4 in 1 Ceremony in Lokoja. He contended that for Nigeria’s economy to rejuvenate, citizens must return to Agriculture. He appealed to government to provide more social infrastructure for his people and other rural settlements as a sure way of boasting agricultural development.
The Oba, also thanked the government of Kogi State for the provision of some basic developments the community has witnessed and prayed for the peace and economic growth of the country.
As Chairman of the occasion, he admonished graduates of the University of Jos to stay united and extend assistance to each other. The Oba, also in his usual manner used the platform to preach peace, love and fear of God, according to him, these are the major prerequisite to development.
