Olu Apata Describes Gov. Bello As a blessing, God sent, as KGCSDA Flags off Construction of Science Labouratory, Boreholes in Community 


 

 

 

The Kogi State Government, through the Community and Social Development Agency has flagged off the Construction of a Science Labouratory at Apata Community, in Apata, Lokoja LGA.

 

This is as the Traditional Ruler of Apata Community, Oba Dr Fredrick Durojaiye Balogun, MSC JP, the Olu Apata of Apata (Ipatun) Oworo, described Gov. Yahaya Bello as a blessing and God sent to Akpata Community.

 

Similarly the Kogi State CSDA is to also rehabilitate a hand pump borehole at the Community.

 

The Cost of the building of the Science Labouratory is put at the cost of over N13m while the hand pump borehole rehabilitation is to cost over N1m.

Performing the Flag off as well as issuance of cheques to the community, the General Manager, KGCSDA, Chief Dauda Momoh said the total cost of the Community Development Project is put at N14,976M.

The General Manager explained that when completed the Science Labouratory will boost the increase of professionals in the areas of Engineering Medical Doctors and other professionals in the field of sciences.

Chief Dauda urged the Community to take ownership of the project by working to specifications, assuring that when completed to standard the State Government will through the Agency
do more for the Community.

While pointing out that the Community is only paying 2.5% community contribution on the CDP sum, said the State Government through the Agency will bear the cost of building and rehabilitating the Labouratory and rehabilitating the boreholes respectively.

In his remarks, Dr. Fredrick Durojaiye Balogun, the Olu Apata of Apata, described the present administration of Gov. Yahaya Bello as a blessing to Apata Community.

The Traditional Ruler insisted that the community is indeed very grateful for the kind gesture to the Community, described KGCSDA as a blessing to the Community.

The Traditional Ruler on behalf of Apata Ipatun Oworo Community, expressed optimism about the early completion of the project and judicious utilization of the funds for the purposes intended.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Community Project Management Community, Hon. Adekunle Babatunde assured that due diligence and ensuring value for money is well adhered to in the project implementation.

Highlights of the Flag off was the presentation of the Grant agreement, approval documents as well as a cheque of
N3,998,362m to the CPMC of the Community by the General Manager, Chief Dauda Momoh.
