The Senator representing Kwara Central, Dr. Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe, has felicitated with the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq on the occasion of his 62nd birthday anniversary, applauding his selfless service, enthronement of transparency and accountability in the state, and infrastructural revolution that underscore his brilliant ideas, capacity and competence.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the lawmaker described the governor as a visionary leader who has to the admiration of everyone exhibited prescience in the initiation of policies and programs that would propel the state to the path of irreversible greatness and permanently break the shackles of poverty that hamper the wellbeing of people.
The senator applauded the geniality of the governor, which he said, accounts for the affable relationship enjoyed between him and federal lawmakers from the state, saying that the governor’s supportive mien is instrumental to the facilitation of various developmental projects attracted to the State.
“My dear brother and friend, Malam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, on behalf of family and good people of Kwara Central, I celebrate with you on the occasion of your 62nd birthday anniversary. You have been doing creditably well to justify the essence of Otoge that sought an end to an administration of mediocrity. The visions and policies so far espoused by your administration is a reflection of a man with a blueprint of his destination and who is loaded with brilliant ideas to translate visions into reality for the betterment of the people.
“You recently demonstrated your altruistic mien and zeal in human capital development in the implementation of minimum wage and consequential adjustments to the workers in the state, the gesture, which received wide applause wouldn’t only uplift the standard of living of the workers but would as well reinforce their commitment and enhance their productivity.
“Your administration has made considerable investments in education which represents the foundation of all forms of developments. Several schools which were in the deplorable state before you came on board are being remodelled to engender a conducive atmosphere and realize the quest for an engaged learning environment and improved learning outcomes.
“Unprecedentedly, you run gender-sensitive governance and stamped out the culture of marginalization of women to entrench gender equality and genuine democracy and ensure decision-making processes are participatory, equitable, and inclusive without a modicum of discrimination.
“It’s undeniable that your administration has opened up the State, liberalised the political system, enthroned the culture of prudence, transparency and accountability by law and deed and above all, put the state on the path of peace and prosperity through infrastructural revolution and massive investment in security, health, agriculture and other critical sectors.”
“I pray that Almighty God continues to guide, guard and prosper you, even as He blesses you with abounding health and many more years of personal fulfilment and distinguished service to humanity and our dear State.”
