The Kogi State Commissioner, Ministry for Water Resources, Hon. Engr. Yahaya MD Farouk, MNSE, MNICE has assured that the State Government is not leaving any stone unturned in ensuring the provision of portable water to the people of the State.
The Commissioner made the disclosure following the revitalization and supply of water to the people of Lokoja metropolis using the old Lokoja Water Works.
According to the Commissioner, the old Lokoja Water Works has begun the supply of water to the traditional areas of Lokoja.
He assured that the efforts will be on pending when the Greater Lokoja Water Works begins operation.
The old Lokoja Water Works has begun supplying water to Karaworo to Kabawa areas of Lokoja, said owing to it long time not being in use, efforts is on to repair the broken down pipes and to reconnect as many areas that’s had since joined the Greater Lokoja Water Works.
The Commissioner assured that the administration of Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo is resolved to tackle the issues of water headlong, solicited more patient and understanding on the part of the people.
Effort the Kogi State Commissioner For Water Resources explained to fix the Greater Lokoja Water Works is on, assuring that when in operation, the issues of water will be a thing of the past.
