Okutepa Danladi Backs Ameh Erico, Pledges Support for APC Candidates in Kogi East

Okutepa Danladi, the third runner-up in the APC Kogi East Senatorial District primary election, has declared his alignment with Chief Dr. Ameh Joseph Erico following Eriko’s victory in the party’s recent primary.
Speaking in Idah, Danladi said the election was free, fair, and credible, and expressed confidence in the leadership of the party and the administration of Governor Usman Ahmed Ododo.

“I believe in the system and in party supremacy. The election was free and fair, and I am ready to give my total support to Chief Dr. Ameh Joseph Erico and all APC candidates in Kogi East, as well as to Mr. President in the next general election,” he stated.
Danladi added that he has full confidence in the administration of Governor Ododo and President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and will mobilize support to ensure victory for the party across the district.
The declaration was made in the presence of the APC candidate for Idah Federal Constituency, Hon. Uchola Ojogbane Omale, and Hon. Sunday Ogah, Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Service.
He urged party members to close ranks and work together for the success of the APC in Kogi East and nationwide in the 2027 general elections.
The announcement is seen as a boost to party unity in Kogi East, where tensions had risen following the contested primary process.
