By joshua OKURA WARD APC RECONCILES, PLEDGES BLOCK VOTES FOR APC FROM PRESIDENCY TO COUNCIL
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Okura Ward, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, has successfully reconciled all aggrieved factions ahead of the forthcoming Local Government Chairmanship election.
The reconciliation meeting, held under the big tree in Okura Ward, brought together youth leaders, women leaders and stakeholders of the party who had hitherto been divided.
The meeting was convened by Elder Hon. Ibrahim Gabriel Itodo, Hon. Sabo Garba, Hon. Emmanuel Omebeji, Hon. Ujolo and other energetic youth leaders of Okura Ward. After extensive deliberations, all factions agreed to sheath their swords and work as one united family.
The exercise coincided with the commencement of the local government campaign rally of Hon. John Urah, APC candidate for the Chairmanship of Dekina LGA.
*Resolutions:*
– *Total Unity:* All factions in Okura Ward APC have resolved to work as one family and deliver APC overwhelmingly in the forthcoming Chairmanship election and all other elections.
– *Top To Bottom Voting:* Members resolved to vote APC in all ramifications, from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, down to Governorship, Senate, House of Representatives, State House of Assembly and Local Government Chairmanship.
– *Connection For Development:* That APC remains the vehicle for dividends of democracy, and only by being connected from the Presidency to the Local Government can Okura Ward attract meaningful development.
– *House-To-House Sensitization:* That every household and every polling unit in Okura Ward will be sensitized to vote for all candidates of the APC.
The leaders called on supporters to remain peaceful and steadfast and to preach the message of Renewed Hope from house to house. They declared that the era of division in Okura Ward APC is over and that massive votes for APC will give the ward the capacity to demand what belongs to it after the election.
The meeting commended His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, for his leadership and for providing an enabling environment for peace, and thanked the Auditor General, Hon. Yakubu Y. Okala, for leading from the front.
