Okun University: Sen. Karimi Visits Committee


 

… Expresses confidence in ability of the committee to deliver


The Senator Representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Sen. Sunday Karimi, has asked the Committee set up for the establishment of Okun University to discharge their responsibility with utmost tact and diligence.

Sen. Karimi gave the charge when he paid a visit to the members of the committee that have been tasked with establishing the University owned by the Kogi State government that would be located in Okun land, expressed his implicit confidence in the committee to carry out the assignment with high sense of responsibility.

Sen. Karimi described quality of the men and women in the committee as star studded, have all it takes to deliver on their mandate.

During the visit, Sen. Karimi conveyed his confidence in the committee members and encouraged them to produce an excellent report that would benefit Okun land and the State in general, praised the State Government for the idea to locate a University in Okunland as a well thought out decision.

The Okun University Committee is Chaired by Professor Olu Obafemi Nnom, an esteemed academician and Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Letters, the committee has 17 distinguished professors as members.

The Committee Chairman expressed appreciation to Sen. Karimi for deeming it fit to visit them pointing out that it underscores his importance and support for the University.
