Okun Nation’s Summit: Use Your Resources for the benefit of Okun nation – Asiwaju Asiru Idris appeals to Okun sons and daughters.
The Kogi State Commissioner For Finance Budget and Economic Planning Asiwaju Asiru Idris has called on well meaning Okun sons and daughters to use their God given resources for the benefit of the Okun nation.
The Commissioner explained that every resources earned by Okun sons and daughters is given to improve lives, caution against the use of land and mineral resources owned by the people to create insecurity in the land.
The Commissioner stated this in his message today at the Okun Nation’s Summit Held in Kabba, Kogi State.
The Commissioner noted that the present administration of Gov Usman Ahmed Ododo is committed to improving on the lives of the people, through several interventions, urged Okun sons to use their resources in improving on the lives of the people.
He described resources as one that would outlive every individual, pointing out that rather than store such resources without improving on lives, said the time for rethink is now.
The Commissioner stressed the importance of unity of purpose, but said whatever resources from land gotten by the sons and daughters but not meant to improve on the lives of the people remains wasteful.
The Commissioner assured that he is open to every support that will lead to the improvement of Okun land, said he has viewed to commit his every resources for the betterment of the people.
While pointing out that the Governor was criss crossing the borders of the country and beyond in seeking economic solutions that will improve on the State’s economy, urged the people of Okun land to support him in making lives meaningful for the people.
