The Kogi State Governorship Candidate for the All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo is coming to give further boost to the efforts of Gov. Yahaya Bello in the education sector.
Hon. Wemi Jones made the disclosure while inaugurating the Ododo Campus Coordinators at the Kogi State College of Education(Technical), Kabba.
Hon. Jones expressed optimism that with the gains already achieved in the education sector, Alhaji Ododo is coming to make it better.
The Commissioner disclosed that it takes education to fight poverty, assured that when Ododo comes he would make education virile, strengthen graduates of tertiary institutions to be self sustaining.
While pointing out that the state’s tertiary institution under Gov. Bello have operated without strike action for all the years he has been Governor, with uninterrupted academic calendar, said the APC Flagbearer is resolved to deepen the gains already achieved.
The Commissioner noted that under the School Mentorship and adoption program where individuals of means have greatly assisted the education sector, said Alhaji Ododo has remaind in the forefront driving the education sector.
He praised the APC Flagbearer for being supportive in the state under his tenure as education Commissioner, urged the Coordinators to own the Ododo project by going all out to canvas support for him, assuring that they will not regret in their action.
