ODODO, GANAJA ALIGN FOR GREATER AJAOKUTA AS KOGI’S DEVELOPMENT DRIVE GATHERS MOMENTUM

A defining photograph from Lokoja this week captured more than a handshake. It captured purpose.
On one side stood His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, the Chief Servant of Kogi State, whose administration has anchored governance on inclusiveness, grassroots welfare, and the delivery of democratic dividends. On the other stood Hon. Haruna Ganaja, widely known across Ajaokuta as the People’s Messenger, a grassroots mobilizer whose work in community development and youth engagement has earned him deep admiration at home.
The meeting was symbolic, but its message was practical: that the progress of Kogi State will be fastest when state leadership and committed local stakeholders pull in the same direction.
Since assuming office, Governor Ododo has made it a point to open the doors of government to voices from the grassroots. His people-centered style has focused on peace, service delivery, and ensuring that no community is left behind in the state’s growth agenda. That philosophy found expression in his engagement with Hon. Ganaja, a leader who has built his reputation not in boardrooms, but on the streets of Ajaokuta, listening to people, resolving tensions, and pushing initiatives that touch daily lives.
Hon. Ganaja has remained consistent in championing unity, youth empowerment, and socio-economic development across Ajaokuta. For him, representation is not about titles. It is about being present, being accessible, and ensuring that government policies translate into real benefits for families.
This alignment between the Governor and the People’s Messenger reflects a shared vision. A vision of an Ajaokuta that is peaceful, productive, and fully integrated into the broader transformation agenda of Kogi State. It also underscores a growing understanding within the Ododo administration that sustainable development is built on collaboration between government and trusted grassroots leaders.
As Kogi continues on its path of growth and consolidation, this partnership sends a clear signal to the people of Ajaokuta: their concerns have direct access to the seat of power, and their aspirations will be prioritized.
Together, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and Hon. Haruna Ganaja exemplify responsible leadership and selfless service. Their shared commitment is to build a stronger, more prosperous Ajaokuta and a Kogi State that works for present and future generations.
