Obajana Development Association has expressed appreciation to Dangote Cement Factory for the donation of ten trycles to the host communities.
Speaking with newsmen in Lokoja, the President of the Association, High Chief Adeyanju Isenibi said the trycles would assist in transporting goods and services and generate income for the beneficiaries.
High Chief Isenibi thanked the company for putting Obajana community on the global map emphasising that, the cement company has attracted development to area and as well create employment opportunities.
He urged the management of the cement factory and the President of Dangote Groups of Company, Alhaji Aliko Dangote to continue to be magnanimous in his social responsibilities which has touched several lives within and outside the state.
His words” we thank the management of the Cement Factory for their thoughtfulness to deliver on their social responsibilities. These trycles by God’s grace would add value to some homes no doubt. It would convey goods and services and generate income. We pray for the success of the company that has made Obajana an household name. The President Dangote Group of Company, Alhaji Aliko Dangote is an accomplished business man who has touched our lives in diverse of ways. No doubt, lives have been touched through numerous amenities he has provided for the communities. Through him, we have electricity, boreholes, blocks of classrooms, dual carriage roads from Obajana to Kabba, Accademy Training School, provision of one hundred bed capacity cottage hospital, monthly allowance for traditional rulers in Obajana Oworo districts, construction of line one to five of the cement factory, employment opportunities, support in the aspect of security, the company attracted banks to the communities, and many more. We appreciate his recorgnition of traditional institutions and the empowerment schemes to alleviate poverty. May God continue to bless him, Like Oliver Twist, we will continue to ask for more magnanimity. Trycyles is a token to transport children to school and market women as well. Obajana is big community now and I believe in the nearest future, buses and cars would surely come from the Company”.
High Chief Isenibi also appealed for scholarship for students to study abroad and sponsorship of pilgrims to both Hajj and Jerusalem.
The president thanked the traditional rulers in the area for sustaining peace and harmonious relationship in their domain and urged the youths in the area to remain focused and law abiding.
He thanked those who had been instrumental to the development of Obajana community particularly brothers in Oworo district who felt concerned about the donation of trycles stressing that the gesture was an avenue to ask for more.
