NYCN Stakeholders Appeal to Gov. Ododo to Replace Youth Commissioner, SA Students and Youths Affairs.
Critical Stakeholders of the National Youth Council, Kogi State Chapter, have appealed to the State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo to reshuffle his Commissioner For Youth and Sports as well as the Special Adviser, Students and Youths Office if he wants to enjoy student and Youths support in 2027.
The Spokesperson, NYCN Critical Stakeholders, Comr. Isiaka Suleiman aka Fiki made the appeal while speaking with Newsmen, called on Gov. Ododo to move the Kogi State Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday A. Anyebe and the Special Adviser on Youth and Student Matters, Amb. Oladele Niyi to be moved to other portfolios, pointing out that the conflict exiting between the Commissioner and Special Adviser has made them not to be working for the interest of the students and Youths of the State.
The Chairman of the Critical Stakeholders of NYCN said the rift and personal crisis between the two appointees is having a negative impact on the well-being of students and Youths.
Comr. Fiki said if Gov. Ododo wants to benefit the support of students and Youths in the next political dispensation, he should reshuffle the two mentioned officers as they are not working for his interest.
The stakeholders said the Students and Youths of the State in the one year administration of Gov Ododo have not made the desired gains, pointing out that it may still continue in the new year if they are not reshuffled.
