
NYCN Kogi West Zonal Electoral Committee officially releases screening results

The Kogi West Zonal Electoral Committee has officially released the screening results for the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) elections in five local government areas: Kogi, Kabba/Bunu, Yagba East, Mopamuro and Ijumu.
The screening exercise, held on March 7th-8th, 2025, evaluated aspirants based on criteria such as:
1.- *Proactiveness*: Their ability to take initiative and drive change.
2. *Intellectual Capacity*: Their cognitive abilities and problem-solving skills.
3. *Age*: Aspirants must be 35 years or younger, according to the guidelines.
4. *Documents*: Aspirants were required to submit documents, including date of birth, state of origin, letter of nomination and academic results.
5. *Rotational Arrangement:* Also for fairness, Equity and Justice we considered rotational arrangement in decision making
These criteria aimed to ensure that only individuals with integrity, intellectual capacity and strong leadership qualities make it to the next stage.
The committee wishes all cleared aspirants the best of luck in the forthcoming NYCN elections at the local government level.
