NYCN boss dissolves LG Coordinators Forum


 

* Set to resolve internal issues

Chairman, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Kogi State Chapter has dissolved all activities of the Local Government Council Forum across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

The chairman made this known during an emergency meeting with the Zonal Vice chairmen, LG Coordinators and state executives of the council in Lokoja.

According to him, recent activities of the forum of coordinators of the Council at the LG has been raising serious concern to the well being and conduct of the council.

He, therefore, calls for the immediate disengagement of the forum and subsequently will be relating with them through their Zonal Vice chairmen.

On the nonpayment of February subvention of some LG coordinators, Ogohi stressed that they would need to submit the list of executives as recently requested for and declined to submit, adding that those who had submitted have long been paid.

He advised and cautioned that those who are yet to submit their list should do so to have access to their February subvention.

While stating that the forum is his constitutional right to create and dissolve, he urged all the coordinators to adhere strictly to the pronouncement pending when internal issues concerning the Forum of Coordinators are resolved.

He further commended LG coordinators who have engaged in a massive sensitization drive about the forthcoming election, while urging all coordinators to at least once a month carry out a sensitization drive on the Continuous Voters Registration.

Ogohi also calls for unity and respect for constituted authority, adding that the legacy they are working on must not be destroyed by personal and selfish interests since they were elected to serve people and not themselves alone…. Continue reading
