The Kogi West Senatorial District Flagbearer for National Rescue Movement,
Mallam Bala Abdulghafar Dirisu in the 2023 general election is set to empower 550 youths in the district.
Speaking with the Nigerian Post, the empowerment he disclosed would help reduce youths involvement in social vices as well as engage them meaningfully.
The NRM Senatorial District Candidate said the 550 Youths would be empowered through Microsoft training to acquire digital skills.
The information technology training would equip the Youths on how to use technology to affect the economy, in the areas of agriculture and transportation.
Mall. Bala added that the second type of empowerment for 500 youths in the district is set to begin soon, is a United Nations Training on skill acquisition and empowerment, pointing out that on completion of the training, the youths would be provided with Certificate and start up capital.
While pointing out that the training would be online and physical, says the time for the Youth not to do things the same way and expect result is now, urged them to cease the opportunity in Kogi West Senatorial District to be empowered.
Mall Bala explained that the time to vote for people who are youthful and think the same way as well as feel the pain of Youths is now, called on the youths of Kogi State to collaborate with him to build a better constituency and to make life more meaningful for living.
He disclosed that as a youthful and resourceful Person, he has a better idea to move the constituency forward, pointing out that his aspiration is geared towards improving the lives of constituents using quality legislation.
In his response, the President, Okun Students Association, Ogbeni Babarinde Adeyemi, lauded the initiative, particularly that it would empower 3000 youths from the five LGAs of Okun speaking areas.
He expressed appreciation with the facilitator of the empowerment, Mall. Bala Drisu, urged other politicians to emulate his gestures in making youths better leaders and citizens.
