The people of Ajaokuta Federal Constituency are rethinking, re-evaluating, and recalibrating for 2027. And their conclusion, reached across town halls, markets, mosques, churches and palaces, is firm and unanimous: Now is the Time.
Without fear of contradiction, Ajaokuta Federal Constituency has never had it this good. For the first time in recent memory, representation has moved from promise to performance, from rhetoric to results, and from Abuja to the doorsteps of the people in Ajaokuta township, Ganaja, Gadumo, Adogo, Okene road axis, and every other community that makes up the federal constituency. The gap and distance between the National Assembly and the grassroots has been closed. A lawmaker is now accessible, with listening ears, and with a phone that answers and an office that delivers.
That lawmaker is Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem, SEA as he is fondly called by constituents across party lines. In just one term, the “Native Boy” has selflessly served to the admiration of the people like never before. Rome was not built in a day, but the ruins of past representation have been cleared, and the foundation for purposeful governance has been laid with discipline, humility and consistency. Now is the time for adding building blocks, and no longer pulling down.
Hon. SEA has effectively met the yearning and aspirations of the constituents. Education, which is the bedrock of any future, has received direct and deliberate attention. The continuous payment of school fees, scholarships for indigent but brilliant students, and the payment of JAMB and WAEC forms have removed the burden from thousands of homes. Classrooms have been equipped with computers, giving our children the digital leverage to compete nationally. No child in Ajaokuta should be left behind because their parents could not afford exam fees, and that principle has become policy under SEA.
Beyond the classroom, the impact is visible on the roads and in the health centres. Facilitated road interventions and grading projects have opened up rural communities, easing the movement of farm produce and reducing travel time for traders and students. Primary Healthcare Centres have been renovated and equipped, with medical outreaches that have brought free treatment, eye care, maternal care and drugs to people who previously had to travel long distances for basic care. Youths and women have not been left out. Through skills acquisition programs, empowerment grants, and direct support for small businesses and artisans, Hon. SEA has put money in pockets and tools in hands. Farmers have received inputs and support to boost food production, while market women have been supported with start-up capital to stabilize their trade.
What makes this representation different is not just the projects, but the philosophy behind them. Hon. SEA has governed with the people, not over them. He returns home regularly. He sits with elders. He listens to youths. He responds to distress calls. That accessibility has restored trust in government and has made the people believe again that democracy can deliver.
For the people of Ajaokuta, there is a clear resolve. Never again. The time for consolidation is now. The people are not rethinking returning to Egypt. To return backwards after tasting purposeful leadership will be to mortgage the future. The time to sustain the payment of school fees, scholarships, JAMB and WAEC support, and the provision of computers to schools cannot be negotiated. The time to sustain the opening of roads, the upgrading of health facilities, and the empowerment of youths and women cannot be traded.
The constituents say it plainly: it is Huraka they found the man, and his name is SEA, the river that never runs dry. Rather than make backward movement, the mandate is to move forward. The ruins have been cleared. The foundation is set. What remains is to build higher.
As 2027 approaches like a patient bird waiting for the right season, the people are ready. With the banner of the APC, and with the track record of service, accessibility and results, Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem is that right man for the job. He will coast home to victory not by noise, but by evidence. Not by promises, but by proof.
The ovation for the time is now can never be louder than now. Ajaokuta has seen what good representation looks like, and the people have decided to keep it, to grow it, and to consolidate it. Now is the Time.
