The attack on the banks in Egbe and Odo Ere today are a reminder of the precarious security situation in the land. It’s so so sad that we have lost some of our People again. We commensurate with the families.and Okun People. A report has been made of this incident. A very rapid response to another report this morning gives hope that our security situation will receive more attention.
I understand that Ijumu LGA has set up a Security Committee. We urge all LGAs in Okun to do same. We call on everybody to contribute to it. Eternal vigilance by everybody is important. Please let us quickly report all suspicious people and situations as quickly as possible. I have continued to advocate that we have no option but to PREPARE TO DEFEND OURSELVES BY WHATEVER MEANS WE CAN. ONCE AGAIN I PLEAD THAT WE DO NOT FOLD OUR HANDS BUT REACH OUT TO OUR VARIOUS COMMUNUTIES TO EMPOWER THEM IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE TO DETER ATTACKS
