NNVS CALLS ON OPPOSITION TO SUPPORT ALH AHMED USMAN ODODO FOR DEVELOPMENT.
The Nigeria National Volunteer Service/Diaspora AFFAIRS an NGO in Kogi State has called on the opposition political parties especially Social Democratic Party (SDP), Action Alliance(AA) and the people’s Redemption Party (PRP)to support Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo of APC for progress and development if the interest to contest election is to serve Kogi people.
Our team of observers after a careful follow up of the trends of the Tribunal judgement that declared Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo as the winner of the Nov 11th Governorship election, in our opinion, call on all political parties ventilating different agitations from withdrawing from contesting further in the appeal court, because of the overwhelming evidence following the declaration.
Nevertheless, now that the Appeal confirmed the judgement of the Tribunal verdict, the onus lies on us to appeal to the opposition to toe the line of honor especially because of the people they’re yearning to lead not to waste more resources by heading to the supreme Court.
Our reasons for this advocacy is simple, there can only be one Governor at a time in the State for a term of 4 years or 8 years.
We believe that no matter your political strategy and sagacity, leadership is ordained by God, the Holy Bible in Exccl 9 :10 /11said, “leadership is not given because you’re the wisest, most powerful, or the richest but TIME and CHANCE happen to them”.
The electorates will respect you the more if we honourably pull out from further contestation if it’s done in the interest of the general public you contested to lead.
Development can only thrive if the declared winner of the election Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo is not distracted from good governance as we’ve seen from his bottom up approach strategy of leadership which is centered on Kogi agenda.
Nothing is too big to be sacrificed especially that by the Grace of God another opportunity will avail itself if we survive the Mercy of God.
Alh Ahmed Usman Ododo of APC is operating an open door policy of administration, ready for cross fertilization of ideas and prepared to form an all inclusive governance where ideas of co contestants are welcome to develop the state ” No man has the monopoly of ideas”.
Since he has long ago extended hands of fellowship we advise that it’s reciprocated for rapid recovery of Kogi of our dream.
Enough is Enough, all we are expecting from now is to come and let us reason together for the growth of the state. It’ll be historical for politicians in other climes to hear that this bold step is taken for the first time not for cowardice but for peace and the UNITY of all kogites.
