The National Vice-chairman, North-Central of the New Nigerian People’s Party ,( NNPP) Sen, Abdulrahman Abubakar has said that the, New Nigerian People’s Party, was undergoing a process of restructuring that would position the party on a winning pedestal ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Senator Abdulrahman Abubakar who is a former Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corperation, NRC disclossed this to our Correspondent exclusively at the party’s National Executive Committee ( NEC) Meeting, held Tuesday August 29,2023 at the Bolingo Hotel Abuja.
According to him, the party’s performance at the February 25, 2023 presidential and national assembly elections was not too bad, having fielded Candidates in all elective positions,but he however admitted that, Some factors affected the futunes of the party at the last general elections.
The NNPP Vice Chairman further Stressed that, the obscureness of the Party’s Logo greatly affected the party during the last presidential and National assembly elections, some party members could not decipher the party’s logo with other political parties he said,a situation which according to him prompted some party members to mistakenly vote for other political parties, saying that the need to Change the Party Logo tops amongst many other issues that was discussed at the National Executive Committee,( NEC) meeting.
Continuing, Sen, Abdulrahman posited that, the New Nigerian People’s Party, NNPP in the North-Central was United, organized and well positioned to Scramble for all elective position in 2027.
He further explained that, the New Nigerian People’s Party, (NNPP) has demonstrated to Nigerians that it’s a party to be trusted, could keep promises and also has the integrity and Capacity to deliver the devidend of democracy to the masses, Considering what the Party has done under the leadership of His Excellency, Kabir Yusuf Abba within a period of less than three months it took over the reigns of power in Kano State, which happens to be the only NNPP Controlled State in Nigeria.
Speaking on the State of the nation,Sen, Abdulrahman Abubakar said that, Nigerians are Undergoing serious economic hardship occasioned by the removal of petroleum Subsidy,he however urged Nigerians to be patient with the new Government and also Support the President Tinubu led administration as better future lies ahead.
