NIPR Inducts 310 Members, Urges Ethical Practice.

NIPR Kogi Chair Congratulates State’s Inductees, Calls for Commitment

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has inducted 310 new members into the Institute at its 3rd Quarter Induction Ceremony for 2026, held on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Bolingo Xpera Hotel, Abuja.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku, charged the new inductees to see themselves as players in nation-building and national integration.
He said Nigeria was at a critical threshold in its journey and urged the new members to see the country’s diversity as a source of strength rather than division.
According to the NIPR President, upholding the ethics and values of the Public Relations profession is vital to shaping public perception and promoting national development.
Dr. Neliaku also admonished the members to cherish trust, time, respect, networking and consultation in their dealings with their places of work and the public.
The NIPR President encouraged the members to take advantage of the forthcoming World Public Relations Forum in Abuja in November and register to be part of the exciting experience.
In a related development, the Chairman of the NIPR Kogi State Chapter, Mallam Ismail Isah, congratulated the inductees from Kogi State and urged them to remain focused on contributing to the development of the chapter.
He maintained that a lot needs to be done to ensure that a solid foundation is established for NIPR Kogi, while appealing for all hands to be on deck.
Also speaking, the Secretary-General of the African Public Relations Association, Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan, congratulated the inductees and urged them to embrace honesty, ethical conduct and professionalism in all their dealings.
Similarly, the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Dr. Ali Mohammed Ali, encouraged the new members to uphold transparency and integrity in their professional duties. He noted that NIPR membership provides an important platform for professional development, credibility and networking.
The speakers collectively charged the new inductees to use their professional knowledge and positions to positively project their organisations, the Public Relations profession and Nigeria at large.
The induction marks another step by the Institute towards strengthening the professional capacity of Public Relations practitioners and promoting ethical communication for national development.
