
Nigerian Post, Margaret Ekpo Biographical Centre Holds Memorial Lecture/Award on 27th May, 2025.

The Nigerian Post in conjunction with the Margaret Ekpo Biographical Centre Calabar, has scheduled to hold a Public Lecture and Awards as part of activities marking the 2025 Children’s day on 27th May 2025 at 10:00am.
The Nigerian Post Newspaper, widely read in Nigeria and Margaret Ekpo Biographical Centre Calabar, has the theme for the 2025 Public Lecture: “Children: Our Future, Our Responsibility“, is scheduled to hold at the NUJ Press Centre.
The Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, Prof. Salisu Usman Ogbo is to Serve As Guest Speaker At The 2025 The Nigerian Post/Margret Ekpo 2025 public Lecture and Memorial Award.
The Nigerian Post/Margret Ekpo 2025 Memorial Lecture and Awards is for suitably qualified individuals, Organizations who have distinguished themselves in providing succour for the vulnerable, women and children in the society.
Recalled that Late Margaret Ekpo was a renowned advocate for the upliftment, fighting for rights of women and children in the society in her life time, a feat, The Nigerian Post/Margaret Ekpo Biographical Centre seeks to immortalize her impact through the lecture and awards.
In a statement signed by Abu Michael, Editor in Chief, The Nigerian Post Newspaper/Kogi State Registrar, Margaret Ekpo Biographical Centre Calabar, Lokoja, added that His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Executive Governor, would serve as the Special Guest of Honour at this year’s event.
The Kogi State Commissioner For Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Asiwaju Asiru Idris would serve as the Chairman white HRH, Alhaji ZA Dangana, Onogie of Afemai, Kogi State is the Royal Father of the day at the Occasion
The statement adds that the Chief Host of the occasion would be Comr. Saidu Ademu, NUJ Chairman.
The event would also be used to honour some organization and personalities who have contributed to providing succour to the women, children and vulnerable in the society.
The award recipients include:

Outstanding Support to the Vulnerable in Lokoja.
(2) Kogi State Council of Ulama, Lokoja, Kogi State – Outstanding 2024 Religious Supporter of the Vulnerable in Lokoja.
(3) Hajia Momo Gimba, Special Adviser, Women Affairs, President (Iya Loja1) of Market Men and Women Welfare Development Association in Kogi State. – Award of Excellence, Outstanding Women Mobilizer.
(4) Hon. Mark Okpanachi
CEO Anarock global Service Limited – Outstanding Giver, Promoter of Women and Children, Idah Fed. Constituency.
(5) Hon. Suleiman Danladi Aguye, Member, Representing Lokoja Kogi Federal Constituency – Promoter of worthy causes, friends of Less privileged and vulnerable
(6) The President, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, Kogi State Chapter – Promoter of Sincere Rest For Senior Citizens Award.
(7) The Chairman Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees – Award of Outstanding Servant Leader/Shining Light.
