The President of Northern Ladies Network, Hajia Ramatu Mohammed has felicitated with Nigerian women on the occasion of the celebration of the nation’s independence celebration.
The President charged Nigerian women to remain prayerful and focus on building a nation for all irrespective of tribe, religion or political affiliation as the country celebrates 61 years of independence from the British colonial masters.
According to a statement she signed, she said the country has many reasons to celebrate despite the mirage of challenges that is confronting the nation, stressing that the word of God said, in all things, whatever the situation we should learn to give thanks to God.
She said though the country may not have gotten to its expected point in terms of development urged that more policies and programs for women is desirous in the coming years.
Hajia Ramatu said it is the responsibility of citizens to support and cooperate with its leadership, pointing out that that is the only way the country can have a headway, stressed that the country must begin to make women a priority in governance.
