As Nigerians from different tribes,and tongues joins their compatriots all over the globe in celebrating the sixty one years Independence anniversary of their beloved country, The Kogi State head, WORLD BANK ASSISTED PROJECT FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT UNIT Office of the Accountant General ,Hajia MEMUNAT OGIRIMAH has acknowledged the positive impact of the nation’s fonding Fathers for their visions and their struggle to wrested herself from colonial rule.
Hajia MEMUNAT OGIRIMAH in her good will message to the State to commemorate the country’s nationhood in Lokoja,said the critical message expressed by the chequered state of Nigeria nationhood in the 61-years of her existence should not be lost to needless merry making and extravagant festivity,whilst there is cause of thanksgiving and jubilation -this is more especially an auspicious moment for sober reflection.
‘With the unique distinction of being the most populous black nation on Earth ,she is a confederation of cultures , language, religions and dreams-a country that has survived colonialism, Civil War , military dictatorship and doom day predictions and one which inspite of her deep- seated challenges has contributed so much to African continent and to the World.’
Hajia MEMUNAT OGIRIMAH, used the avenue to congratulate the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammad Buhari and Governor Yahaya Bello for leading the country and State to the destinations where all citizens would discovered their potentials.
‘For us in Kogi State we thanks God for giving us Alhaji Yahaya Bello to serve as Governor at this point in time in the political process of the Confluence state-the security architecture adopted by the Governor is yielding positive results as lives and property of the residents are secured.’
Hajia MEMUNAT OGIRIMAH also felicitated with the Director General Government House administration , Doctor Shaibu Umar Oricha whose birthday anniversary coincided with Nigeria’s Independence celebration adding that Doctor Shaibu Umar Oricha at 61-years on earth has become a father figure to several people due to his leadership qualities.
” The truth is, nations and states are products of promises conceived by the collective desire to build systems and structures that quarantee the fulfilment of individuals potential”.
She pray Allah (SWT) to continue to bless the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and his New Direction Teem and provide them with the right wisdom , good health, fresh ideas and strength in the herculean task to put the State on the pedestal of balance and sustainable development.
