Ahead of the 2023 general elections, Youth groups consisting of coalition of Ijaw Youths council (Western Zone), Ijaw National Congress (Western Zone), Ex Niger Delta Agitators and leaders of the region under the umbrella of Project Niger Delta today Friday 6th August, 2021 called on Nigerian youths to rally round the aspiration of Governor Yahaya Bello as President, noting that he is the only one who will provide purposeful leadership and good governance if elected as president in the 2023 general election.
The convener of the Project Niger Delta group, Comrade Princewill Timipre EBEBI, while giving his speech during the inauguration of the Ondo State chapter of the Project Niger Delta – PND, said the organization which is registered and well recognized body within the Niger Delta region has a growing number of over 3 million Youths, extending it’s network to Delta State, Bayelsa State and now Ondo State. He said the group have searched the length and breadth of the country and found that Governor Bello, a young man who has given women and young people the platform to be the drivers in their own affairs, will perform well if elected into the exalted office.
The Ondo State Chapter Coordinator, Comrade Eric D kpemi who was inaugurated along with the spokesperson, Mr.Eliphus Eberagha and other coordinators describes Governor Bello as the driver of youths, whose style of leadership is what we need in this country. He said the generational shift is a must and this is the time for the youths to come together and produce a president who will bring the end to the ravaging problems in Nigeria.
Governor Yahaya Bello representative, the Deputy Speaker of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed in his remark urge the people to begin sensitization across boards, to take the message down to villages, cities within their reach. He assured the people of Niger Delta region that Governor Yahaya Bello is the only man with vast experience to ensure the unity, peace and development in our great nation Nigeria today. He is the only man if given an opportunity will voice our opinions and play a meaningful role in political decision making. “He has solution to the present Nigeria problem. He did it in Kogi State, he will do it even better as president” he said.
