Nig vs Tunis: Players to watch out for


The Super Eagles go into the round of 16 encounter with Tunisia having won all their group game matches and Tunisia were just able to manage 1 win out of the 3 matches they played.

The Super Eagles will be confident while they meet Tunisia. However Tunisia will be weary of the fact that the Nigerian team have fire power in attack and they will be looking at how they can regulate that fire power.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria advanced to the group stage of the competition scoring six goals and just conceding 1. The beautiful thing about this team his that they have an ability to score goals and are not depending on one player.

The Super Eagles team have registered six different goal scorers in the competition already. It will be an uphill task for any team to want to stop the firepower of the Super Eagles.

Although the Super Eagles have different scorers in their disposal, however, there are players who have been a handful against defences in this AFCON tournament.

The Tunisian team will be weary of the Super Eagles but more worried about this two players and they are:

1. Moses Simon

The Nantes FC player has been an handful in opponents defences, tearing the defence apart creating chances an goals. The Tunisian team will most likely study his pattern and will want to look for a strategy to stop the 26 year old Nigerian ace. With his attacking approach in this campaign, Moses Simon has been a threat to defences and will look at replicating same against Tunisia.

2. Kelechi Iheanacho

The Leicester City man scored a stunner against Egypt in the Super Eagles first group game and can have a go against Tunisia on Sunday. He has been a threat to defences in this AFCON tournament and will look forward to a more exciting encounter against Tunisia.

With 6 wins 8 draws and 6 losses in between these two teams, it will be a beautiful encounter on the night.
