Nig. Post Kogi @ 34 Public Lecture: Baba Ojonugwa J.F.O To Thrill Guests, Preach Kogi Unity

Internationally acclaimed entertainment practitioner and culture expert, Baba Ojonugwa J.F.O who is presently the National Treasurer of the Performing Musicians Employer’s Association of Nigeria (PMAN) is to thrill guests at this year’s The Nigerian Post Newspaper Kogi @ 35 Annual Public Lecture and Awards.
The guest musician is to thrill the audience at the NUT Guest House, Lokoja with a powerful message of unity, emphasizing the importance of a united Kogi.
J.F.O will be performing his song ONE UNITED KOGI, with the theme of togetherness and progress.
Baba Ojonugwa J.F.O has been a vocal advocate for unity in Kogi State for over two decades now with his age long classic, GOD BLESS KOGI STATE & recently releasing the didactic hit song titled “One United Kogi” to promote the message of togetherness and peace in Kogi state.
The Nigerian Post Newspaper Public Lecture & Gold Prize Award, is an event yearly organized
to mark and celebrate the anniversary of Kogi State creation.
The theme for the Kogi @ 34 public lecture is: “Transparency, Accountability, Inclusivity, Economic transformation: This House Must Not Fall”.
Gov. Usman Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Executive Governor and his predecessor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello have indicated their participation at this year’s the Nigerian Post Newspaper annual public Lecture & Gold Prize Award, would serve as Special Guest of Honors.
This years event is scheduled to take place at the Teachers House, opposite Radio Kogi, Lokoja, August 26, 2025 at 10:00am.
The Kogi State Governor, Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo is expected as the Special Guest of Honour.
His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, former Governor of Kogi State, the Minister for Steel Development, Prince Shaibu Audu Abubakar alongside other very important personalities within and outside Kogi State will also serve as Guests of Honour at the event.
The 2025 public lecture will be delivered by Prof. Stephen Ikani Ocheni, former Minister of State, Labour and Employment.
His Royal Majesty, the Ohimegye Igu Kingdom, Alhaji Saidu Akawu Salihu would serve as the Royal father of the day.
Speakers at the event will include; Prof. Marietu Tenuche, Vice Chancellor, Prince Abubakar University, Anyigba and Prof. Olayemi Akinwumi, VC Federal University Lokoja.
The 2025 The Nigerian Post Newspaper Lecture is to be chaired and Co Chaired by Prof. Salisu Usman Ogbo, Rector, Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja with Asiwaju Olatunji Olusoji.
According to a statement by the Publisher of THE NIGERIAN POST, Mr. Abu Micheal, this year’s event will honour some distinguished personalities who have contributed to the development of the State.
The 2025 edition of the public lecture, “aims to celebrate and critically examine the creation of Kogi State 34 years after, by discussing its Transparency, Accountability, Inclusivity in a democracy, the Kogi State example.
According to a statement by the Publisher of THE NIGERIAN POST, Mr. Abu Michael, this year’s event will honour some distinguished personalities who have contributed to the development of the State.
“Our 2025 Awardees are persons who made the critical differences in the discharge of their duties, with uncommon zeal and commitment to the common good of the citizens and the State in particular,” the statement read.
