A new ray of hope awaits operators of Micro Small Medium Enterprises in Kogi State with the assurances that new and existing MSME clusters under the Kogi MSME Clinic initiative would soon receive the needed attention.
The Special Adviser to President Mohammadu Buhari on SMEs, Mr Tola Johnson gave the assurances in Abuja when he received in audience the MD/CEO of Kogi Enterprise Development Agency, KEDA Hajiya Rekiya Onaivo Sanni who was in his office for a courtesy visit.
The Special Adviser commended Gov. Yahaya Bello for his efforts in championing initiatives that has to do with MSME even at the national level, said soon MSME in the State are expected to receive more attention.
Mr Johnson appreciated the KEDA boss for her visit, assured her of his office commitment to providing necessary facilities to implement a pilot MSME Shared Facility in Kogi State.
He lauded the KEDA boss for exceptionally helping to reposition MSMEs in the State, said the partnership would open new frontiers of development for the sector.
Earlier in her remarks, the MD/CEO of Kogi Enterprise Development Agency, KEDA, Hajiya Rekiya Onaivo Sanni commended the Special Adviser for significantly adding values in promoting small businesses in the country.
The KEDA boss during the visit majorly discussed issues that focused amongst others revolving around the National Shared Facility initiative and how Kogi MSMEs can better access the scheme.
Hajiya Rekiya praised Gov. Yahaya Bello for making the state a safe haven for businesses and investors to thrive, described the Governor’s security and other business friendly policies as unprecedented, thus making the state an investment destination.
The KEDA boss expressed optimism that the meeting is expected to be highly productive for MSMEs in the State, is coming at a better time, tasked businesses in the State to be hopeful for innovative opportunities in the coming days.
