Netherlands Consul General, Michel Deelen, visits Governor Otu
The Consul-General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Nigeria, Mr Michel Deelen, on Wednesday, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State in Calabar.
The visit was meant to deepen bilateral relations and establish mutually beneficial partnerships.
In a Facebook by Governor Otu, he said: “I welcomed the Consul General of the Netherlands, Mr. Michel Deelen, as we explored partnerships in agriculture and forest conservation.
“Cross River is blessed with fertile land, peace, and investor-friendly policies.
“From oil palm to cocoa, our administration is building a sustainable agricultural future.
“We discussed our reclaimed oil palm estates, digital soil mapping, and efforts to protect our forests while boosting farmer income.
“I appreciate the Netherlands’ commitment to responsible agriculture and look forward to fruitful collaboration.”
