Ndoma-Egba Congratulates Gov Otu on Third Anniversary, Hails ‘People First’ Agenda
The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, has extended his warmest congratulations to the Governor of Cross River State, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, on the momentous occasion of his third anniversary in office.
Ndoma-Egba, a former Senate Leader and colleague of the governor in the seventh Senate, in a press statement issued on Friday, lauded Otu’s remarkable achievements over the past three years. He described the milestone as a clear reflection of the governor’s purposeful leadership and steadfast commitment to the well-being of Cross River residents.
The FUOYE Pro-Chancellor, a top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), observed that Otu, through his inclusive leadership style, has fostered a strong sense of belonging across all communities in the state.
He hailed the governor’s consistent efforts in pursuing the ‘People-First’ agenda, alongside his drive towards sustainable development and economic rejuvenation, which he noted are setting Cross River firmly on the path to prosperity.
Describing the governor as a compassionate leader and a committed bridge builder, the legal luminary and elder statesman further stated that the People-First Manifesto, on which Otu anchored his 2023 campaign, has steadily yielded concrete dividends of democracy for Cross Riverians.
“Since you assumed office on May 29, 2023, you have pursued the ‘People First’ agenda with unwavering commitment and conviction.
“Regardless of the challenges you met at the outset of your administration, your measured and compassionate governance has engendered peace and stability, paved the way for meaningful infrastructure development, and restored public trust across the state,” Ndoma-Egba said in the statement containing his congratulatory message to the governor.
The ex-parliamentarian of note who represented Cross River Central in the Red Chamber for twelve years (2003-2015), added: “As you mark this third year in office, I pray that God Almighty continues to grant you sound health of mind and body, divine wisdom, and the courage to pilot the affairs of our dear state to even greater, enviable heights.”
While also felicitating Otu on his resounding affirmation as the gubernatorial candidate of the APC in Cross River State for the 2027 polls, in the recently conducted primaries of the party, the one-time Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Board, expressed absolute confidence that the governor will be re-elected next year for a second term.
He maintained that the banker turned politician has done so well in his three years as Cross River helmsman to deserve another tenure come 2027.
