The Nigeria Association of Women Journalist (NAWOJ) Kogi State Chapter has made a passionate appeal to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company AEDC to help restore power supply to residents of Lokongoma Area.
This was contained in the resolutions reached at the end of Congress of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalist (NAWOJ) Kogi state chapter held on 09-02-2023 in Lokoja.
Other resolutions contained in the communique are as follows :
Observed with seriousness that pregnant women and nursing mothers continue to slump on unending Automated Teller Machine (ATM) queues in the state, called on the Federal Government and Central Bank of Nigeria to make cash available to alleviate the sufferings of the people.
In a communique signed by the Chairperson, Ann Olurinde, NAWOJ Chairperson, said in the forthcoming general elections, expressed optimism that the use of BVAS machines would guarantee free and fair elections while urging the Government to ensure the safety of women and youths before, during and after the elections.
