An organization known as Nigeria Agricultural Payment initiative, NAPI Technology has been engaged to assist in the National Identity Number registration exercise.
Chief Executive officer of NAPI technology, Mr Alfred Okeme in a statement said the measure is part of effort to reduce the stress being faced by Nigerians in the process of acquiring National identity Number, NIN, especially for the aged and those in rural communities.
Mr Okeme explained that in North Central states, the organization, Nigeria Agricultural Payment initiative NAPI Technology will carry out the exercise.
The exercise which is expected to be carried out in North Central states to include Nasarawa, Plateau, Kogi, Niger and Kwara is scheduled to commence from first week of this month.
According to him, Palaces of traditional rulers of local Governments and development area offices would serve as Enrollment and registration centres during the exercise.
He urged those who are yet to be enrolled on the National identity Number NIN registration exercise to use the opportunity and get enrolled.
Mr Okeme added the enrollment is free and advised the public against any fraudulent practices.
